Wedding Plans

Well, we are still waiting for the sealing clearance to come through. We are in our third week and anxious to hear back but it could take as long as three months. As we went through the process of putting in the request, we felt pretty good that everything will go well. We still feel that way. Although we have not set an official date, for planning purposes we chose July 6 in the evening. It, by all means, is not set in stone. One of the things that Bishop Peterson stressed was not to set a date. So, with that, we'll take a deep breath and step back while we wait for the reply. As soon as it comes through, you will see a post from one of us filling you in.

As for where we are getting married, it is for sure to happen in Utah. Our first choice was to be sealed in the Salt Lake temple. That was partly because Julie's mom and dad were sealed there and partly to do it near the family. We and the kids will fly up together to get the marriage certificate, then on to the temple. With the date we chose, that temple will be closed for maintenance. So, we found that the temple at Mt. Timpanogas will be available and would hold the ceremony there. However, if the clearance comes later than expected, we may still get a chance to have it take place at SLC. I wanted to be sealed there just because. So for now, hang tight while we wait it out. You'll know either way.
